Timetable and Draw

Important Announcement from the Regatta Organising Committee

Following a detailed review of the forecast weather conditions with the Chief Umpire and Regatta Chairman,

we have decided that Maidenhead Regatta WILL PROCEED on this Saturday 5th August

BUT for safety reasons it is necessary to cancel those events for more vulnerable or less experienced rowers.

Therefore the following changes will be made:

All Adaptive events have been cancelled and will be withdrawn from the event.

All J13 events have been cancelled and will be withdrawn from the event.

J14 1x events will proceed but we would ask for coaches to decide if the conditions are suitable for their athletes.

Any boats in a cancelled event or who choose to withdraw from a J14 1x will be refunded in full.

We realise that this will be a great disappointment to those rowers who have had their event cancelled,

especially after the cancellation of Maidenhead Junior Regatta earlier this year for similar reasons.

We felt it was our only option after careful consideration, with the safety of all participants as our primary concern.

We will be issuing an updated racing schedule as soon as possible and continue to keep the situation under review through Friday 4th August.

Thank you for your understanding.
