Membership Fees

Maidenhead Rowing Club has a "pay before you row/ergo" policy and new members must pay their membership fees before using any of the club equipment.  

The Senior membership year, including U23s and Students, runs from June to May. The Junior membership year runs from September to August.

New members joining part way through the year will be due to pay the appropriate portion of the annual fee as shown in the table below.  The fees shown against June (September for Juniors) are the full annual fee for that membership category, with the remaining months calculated as shown.

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to row if they want to so, should you find that you are unable to afford membership due to your economic circumstances, you can apply to the committee for support. Each case is considered on its merits.

Adaptive discount: Any Adult Rowing, Student and Under-23 Rowing, Junior Rowing or Junior Alumnus Rowing member who in the opinion of the Adaptive Squad Captain meets the British Rowing criteria for Para-Rowers or Adaptive Rowers shall be entitled to a 50% reduction in the applicable rate of membership subscription.

Coaching discount: Any member (not being an Adult Squad Coxing and Coaching member or Junior Squad Coxing and Coaching member) who has completed to the Captain’s satisfaction not less than eight hours’ coaching of club crews on a voluntary basis in every month of a membership year shall be entitled to a rebate of 50% of any membership subscription paid in that year, allowable against the membership subscription for the following year.

Family discount: A family group of two adults and not more than two children all resident at the same address consisting of individuals who are all members of the Club in any category, shall be entitled to a reduced rate of membership subscription. Rack Fees

If you store your own boat at the Club, rack fees are payable with your membership fees: rack space is limited and must be agreed with the Captain before payment is made. See 'Private Sculling Racks' for terms and conditions.

Adaptive, coaching or Family membership discounts are not applicable to rack fees.
