Dear All,

I must start with some apologies to a few members whom I didn’t mention in last weeks email regarding the British Rowing Indoor Championship. The other members who represented our club with results were Lewis - equal 9th Yr9 boys, Henry - 10th in yr9 boys, Beth - yr 9 girls: thank you to Maggie for flagging that up for me.
Well done to all our members who competed in this event, the Maidenhead advertiser did a piece on which can be found HERE .
Yesterday was Henley Fours and Eights head, the Women’s squad were the only squad to enter they entered two fours and one eight. This is a fantastic event thats very well organised and offers three events in which to test athletes and crew combinations. This is the first water based event for the women’s squad of 2015. With very limited water time for all the crews this race was always going to be a "learning race”. All three crews raced well and learned lots about certain aspects to work on for the up and coming Tideway heads including the WHORR in four weeks time. Well done to all who raced and thank you to all who came down on the cold rainy day to support. Results can be found HERE
In the next few weeks we will be planning a date for a club workday in order to get things up to speed for the upcoming summer season. One major area in need of a good tidy is our boat house in which has come to my attention that it needs a bit of order brought back to it. Our boathouse is a big selling point for us and something to be proud of. We have lots of awesome equipment to be proud of so we must strive to keep it tidy this will all reflect back to a positive mentality at the club.
Keep an eye out on our constantly updated website for up to date information. Also keep an eye out on our You Tube page for new videos we hope you will like.
As of this I wish you a great week full of some good training earning those medals which you’ll collect in the summer!
Yours as always,
