Maidenhead Rowing Club has dedicated a new boat to the memory of former member Tim Wildbore.

Managing director of UFit Austin Bailey with club president Paul Lion and Tracy Bailey

Tim was tragically killed in a road accident in February.

The club said he was a talented junior sculler at the club for several years, before moving to Ely, where he became an inspirational junior coach and whose kindness, skill and commitment will be greatly missed.

The new boat has been sponsored by UFit Protein Drinks and was officially christened on Saturday, June 13, by Tracy Bailey, wife of Austin Bailey, the managing director of UFit.

Rowing club president Paul Lion, said: "We're all thrilled that Ufit have so generously supported our junior boys Hudson racing boat.

"We have named the boat in memory of Tim Wildbore, one of our members who sadly passed away recently.

"As you can see, Austin and Tracy gave the boat a fitting launch and we hope the new boat will spur the boys onto greater success."
