Maidenhead Rowing Club Mens Squad

Winter training for 17-18 season starts now: take a look at the Senior Men here.

The Mens squad caters for members 18+ and aims to provide a competitive group to perform at the local domestic regattas from small boat heads to Henley Royal Regatta. Over the last few years we have sent members to GB trials and have also had members perform at European regattas.

Our main focus as a squad is small boats: we specialise in singles to fours.

We train on the water from 7am at the weekend along with two weekdays morning or evening. In addition to this we do weight training and ergos and a lot of cross training on the bikes with running and swimming also being included.

We have camps throughout the year, mainly in small boats, which squad members are recommended to attend.

The club has a highly competitive internal head race system that is held once a week, apart from race weekends. It varies in distance but enables members to get a racking and official timing. This is mandatory for the squad and can be done in any boat class.
