If you’re thinking of having a training camp and haven’t the time or the money to go abroad, why not consider Maidenhead Rowing Club?

We’re a friendly club with great facilities on the most beautiful stretch of the Thames, only a 5 minute walk from the town centre and a 10 minute drive from the Olympic Rowing Lake at Eton Dorney.

Why choose Maidenhead?

For the River – The River Thames provides 3km of flat water which is easy to navigate and has little river traffic.

For the Location – Our boathouse is situated on the banks of the River Thames within walking distance of the town centre and easy access to shops.

For the après-rowing – Choose to stay at the club where we have a well-stocked bar and food available. Or take the 5 minute walk to town where you’ll find restaurants and bars, cafes and a cinema to ease the strain of a hard day’s rowing. 

Facilities we can offer

Use of coaching launches – We can provide visiting crews with coaching launches and life jackets at reasonable rates.

Boats – We can provide mid-range boats for you to train in or …………..

Boat storage – With prior agreement with the Club Captain, boats can be easily stored outside in the club car park. However, we ask that visiting clubs provide their own trestles and supports.

Use of ergos and weights – Our erg room has fourteen Concept II Ergos and spinning bikes. We also have a weights room with a wide range of well-maintained free weights. 

Changing rooms and showers – Our changing rooms can be used by visitors. Kit and personal belongings can be left in the changing rooms at the owner’s own risk. Door codes will be issued on your arrival by our club captain.

Accommodation – you can have the ultimate sleepover in our clubroom or we can provide you with details of local accommodation.

Caterer – We can give you access to our kitchen so that you can provide your own snacks and breakfasts. We offer evening meals 2 nights a week to all members so you can join us and get to know our squads. For the rest of your stay we can put you in touch with caterers who can provide food for you if you don’t want to walk to town.

Club room – We have a stunning clubroom with a large screen for video playback and analysis post training and a bar where you can relax after training. 

Parking – We have a large car park for trailers and vehicles.
